Teaching and Learning Research Methodologies in Education: A Systematic Literature Review

This study aims to contribute understanding of the state art regarding pedagogical cultures associated with teaching and learning research methods in advanced studies education through identification trends pitfalls. The rationale behind this objective is recognition that most comes from academic programmes, particular master’s doctoral which generally include as components. A systematic literature review was adopted methodology, following PRISMA model. Three stages article selection were implemented, resulting 68 out an initial set 3631 articles found main journal databases. specific dimensions addressed: (i) methodological knowledge, (ii) competencies, (iii) practices programmes. results illustrate complexity subject. Learners are constantly reported hold negative attitudes towards courses, apparently due instructors’ difficulties, translate into restricted understandings knowledge. Several misunderstandings between learners teachers identified call for action construction a research-based scientific culture will lead inclusive act researchers.
